Speak French on holiday without freezing after bonjour

Join Caroline’s friendly 6-week online group programme for adults who are going to France and want practical French for real holiday situations.

Learn the useful French you need for restaurants, supermarkets, campsites, travel, pharmacies, emergencies and those awkward moments when your mind goes blank.

Small online groups. Maximum 6 learners. Practical, friendly and designed for real holidays.

Going to France soon?

You do not need to be fluent. You need to feel prepared.

Many adults remember a few words from school. You may be able to say bonjour, merci and maybe order a coffee on a good day.

But real holiday French can feel different. Someone speaks quickly. The queue is waiting. The campsite receptionist asks a question. The waiter says something you were not expecting.

Suddenly, your brain goes blank.

That is exactly why Caroline created Holiday French Confidence: French Without the Freeze.

This course helps you practise French for:

  • Ordering food and drinks in cafés and restaurants
  • Asking for help in supermarkets and shops
  • Checking into campsites, hotels or holiday rentals
  • Finding your way at airports and train stations
  • Hiring a car, parking and asking travel questions
  • Visiting a pharmacy or asking for urgent help
  • Using rescue phrases when you do not understand
Is this for you?

The course is designed for nervous beginners and rusty returners

Holiday French Confidence is ideal if you are going to France and want to feel more confident speaking simple, practical French.

You know a little French

You remember a few words, but you are not sure how to use them in real conversations.

You freeze when people reply

You might manage your first phrase, but panic when the other person answers in French.

You want useful holiday French

You want French for restaurants, campsites, shops, travel, pharmacies and everyday holiday moments.

The goal is not to become fluent in 6 weeks.

The goal is to help you feel calmer, more prepared and more confident using practical French on holiday.

Why this is different

This is not school French, and it is not just another app

Google Translate and language apps can be useful, but they do not always help with the hardest part: speaking out loud to a real person.

Caroline’s course gives you friendly live practice, gentle correction and realistic holiday role-play, so you can build confidence before you travel.

This course is not about:

  • Memorising long grammar rules
  • Taking scary tests
  • Speaking perfect French
  • Feeling embarrassed if you make a mistake
  • Learning phrases you will never use

It is about:

  • Having a go
  • Knowing what to say when you get stuck
  • Practising real holiday situations
  • Building memory through repetition
  • Feeling more independent in France
Meet your tutor

Bonjour, I’m Caroline

I am a French national living and working in the UK as a French tutor and part-time French teacher in a local school.

I teach French in person and online, supporting students with GCSE and A-Level French, as well as adults who want to learn French for long-term confidence and fluency.

Over the last couple of years, I have had more and more enquiries from adults who want practical “emergency French” before a holiday. They do not necessarily want formal lessons or lots of grammar. They want useful French they can actually use when they visit France.

That is why I created Holiday French Confidence: French Without the Freeze.

My aim is to help you feel supported, encouraged and able to enjoy learning French. Learning as an adult should be useful, friendly and fun — because when you enjoy it, you are much more likely to remember it.

Start with your level

Take the Holiday French Confidence Scorecard first

Before joining, complete the Holiday French Confidence Scorecard. It helps you discover your current confidence level and your likely French freeze points.

The scorecard is not a formal test. It is a friendly way to see where you are now and what kind of support would help you most.

The scorecard helps you find out:

  • How confident you feel with basic French
  • Which holiday situations worry you most
  • Whether you know your rescue phrases
  • How you cope when someone replies quickly
  • Whether the 6-week course is the right next step
Imagine this

Your next holiday could feel different

Imagine walking into a bakery and ordering without panic.

Imagine checking into your campsite and understanding the basics.

Imagine asking someone to repeat more slowly instead of freezing.

Imagine leaving a restaurant, shop or train station thinking, “I did it. It was not perfect, but I managed.”

That is the kind of confidence this course is built to create.

Not perfect French. Not fluent French. Useful French that helps you enjoy your holiday more.
